Winter Holidays Contest

The Winter Holidays Contest is a multifandom contest for the holidays. It's open to both stories and art (banners or video). The contest runs from November 1, 2015 until March 1, 2016.

The entry must be about one of the following holiday themes: Thanksgiving, Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years, or Valentine's Day.

If choosing to make a Christmas banner, please be creative and use some different backgrounds than the banners entered into last year's Christmas banner contest. Those banners may be viewed on our Facebook page here:

The following awards will be given for entries. To have a chance at most of these awards, you need to be creative with your entry in regards to the characters/pairing and fandom.

  • Best Overall Banner/Story
  • Best Crossover Banner/Story
  • Best Non-Twilight Banner/Story
  • Most Unique Banner/Story
  • Best Canon Pairings
  • Best Non-Canon Pairings
  • Best Pairing You Hate to Love
  • Best Het (M/F)
  • Best Slash/Femslash

For Authors:

  1. 2500 minimum words
  2. Must be beta'd
  3. No announcing that you're in the's anonymous
  4. Put the following information in the header:

For Banner/Video artists

  1. There will be no nudity or other depictions that could be considered inappropriate for younger viewers.
  2. You may create a portrait (300 by 450 pixels) or landscape (1280 by 792 pixels) banner.
  3. If you wish, you can sign your banner with the initials FFPIC
  4. You may come up with your own title for the banner, or you may use "Winter Holidays"
  5. Please provide the following information when submitting your banner/video entry:

All entries are due no later than March 1, 2016.
