FF Team: What’s your name?
Ms. Bee: beegurl13, although if you ask my kids they’ll say “Mom” and if you ask my husband he’ll say “Sweetie” and if you ask my dad he’ll say “Bran” and if you ask my aunt she’ll say “Brandi Pan” and if you ask my friends they’ll say “Who, the crazy one who’s in love with Robert Pattinson? Yeah, that’s Brandi”. So pretty much any of those will work. :)
FF Team: Where are you from?
Ms. Bee: Arizona. Born and raised. I’m a heat girl, I don’t do cold. If I can’t wear flip flops in a place during the winter, I can’t live there. :)
FF Team: How are you?
Ms. Bee: I’m good. Boring. Vanilla. You know, fine.
FF Team: What’s your favorite color?
Ms. Bee: Green. It has been since I was in high school and I fell in love with this super cute green sweater that had 26 tiny buttons down the front of it. Oh man, I loved that sweater. I have no idea what happened to it, but I wish I still had it. :(
FF Team: How’s the weather outside?
Ms. Bee: Hot. I mentioned living in Arizona, right? And not the cool part of the state. I think it was 108 degrees today. It’s hot. Like the surface of the sun, kinda hot. :)
FF Team: What’s your favorite drink?
Ms. Bee: Cherry Vanilla Pepsi. Best thing ever. :)
FF Team: What’s your favorite music?
Ms. Bee: I like several kinds - rock, pop, country, metal, hard rock, alternative… Just as long as it’s not jazz or rap or classical, I’m probably okay with it. :D
FF Team: What helps you get in the mood to write?
Ms. Bee: Lately, not much. Writer’s block and kids who are awake all night really suck. But normally music is good, or reading the scene just before the one I need to write. Those are good for me.
FF Team: What inspires you to write?
Ms. Bee: I get a lot of story ideas from songs. They make me think and then my brain starts twisting things and suddenly a story pops up. Though real life events and memories have also sprouted a couple of stories for me.
FF Team: What made you start writing fanfiction?
Ms. Bee: My friends were doing it and an angst contest started and I had an angsty idea and no one to write it, so I decided to do it myself. :) Guess it was a good idea since I won the contest. :D
FF Team: What’s the first fanfiction story you ever wrote?
Ms. Bee: The first story I wrote was What Hurts the Most, followed VERY closely by What I Really Meant to Say. I was actually writing them both at the same time. They were one shots for that angst contest I mentioned.
FF Team: What fandoms do you write in?
Ms. Bee: Twilight, and only Twilight. I don’t read any other fandoms, either.
FF Team: Do you write Non-Canon or Canon and why?
Ms. Bee: I write canon only, except for lemons. I’m okay to write non-canon lemons as long as Edward and Bella get their HEA at the end... unless it’s a one shot. I can kill anyone off in a one shot. :D
FF Team: Who’s your favorite character to write and why?
Ms. Bee: I love writing Bella because she usually ends up with lots of elements from me and my personality. Although, that means it kinda hurts when reviews say she sucks or that she’s a pushover, but then again… I’m a pushover, so I guess everyone has their own perspective and opinion. It’s all good. :) As for one particular Bella from MY stories… I don’t think I could choose one.
FF Team: Tell us a little bit about him/her?
Ms. Bee: The Bella’s I write are always realistic and flawed. They don’t pay a lot of attention to fashion or purses, cars or art, manicures or clubbing. They tend to have lots of babies and fall head over heels for Edward, even if he’s got some issues that should put up red flags. They take more crap than most people think they should, but my Bella’s are happy with their live’s and who they are.
FF Team: The fans want to hear from you! Tell us a little bit about you and your writing, the feelings you get from it, and how you feel when you get reviews and encouragement! YOU HAVE THE FLOOR HERE!
Ms. Bee: About me… I’m boring. Shockingly so. My family thinks I’m crazy and pathetic for how much time I spend on fanfiction, but I love it. It makes me happy to read so many different stories about Bella and her Edward. I love the angst, I love the sweetness, I love the happy endings. I love the amazing women I’ve met in the fandom, some of whom I count among my closest friends, even though we live on opposite sides of the country. I love reading stories, all the different ideas people come up with. I love hearing what people have to say about the stories I’ve written, no matter whether the things they say are good or bad. There’s nothing like getting a review from someone who’s fallen in love with your story and your characters. It just makes my whole day when that happens. Getting to be friends with people who love my stories, and getting to be friends with people who write stories I love… that makes this whole fanfiction thing one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I’m so grateful that I fell into it and that people continue to let me participate in it, even when I go months and months without writing anything new. From the bottom of my crazy, random, wordy, scatterbrained, angst-filled heart… Thank you. You’ll never, ever know how much this whole thing has meant to me.
